Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Competency and Training Advisor for our Aberdeen-based Oil & Gas client.

This role will be on an ongoing PAYE contract basis, with the possibility of a 4-day work week, although full-time is preferable.

Ensure the requirements of the Competence Management Strategy are met.

Support all stakeholders in driving continuous improvement of training and competence compliance to support company targets to reduce risk.

Manage the in-house competence management systems to support the delivery of the strategy.

Ensure adequate training and competence measures are in place for SHE Critical Personnel.

Ensure compliance with relevant legislative and industry training requirements.

Provide subject matter expertise on training and competence.

Oversee governance of contractor competence management.

Champion the Competence Management Strategy and drive compliance.

Oversee activities of the Training and Competence Advisor and Coordinator.

Manage the in-house Competence Management systems.

Candidates should ideally have a background in upstream oil & gas and be familiar with the environment and disciplines.
