Job summary

Haltemprice CMHT in the East Riding seeks a 0.6 WTE Band 8a Practitioner Psychologist to deliver advanced psychological care for adults with trauma and complex needs. You will work with another psychologist, contribute to MDT care planning, and provide supervision and teaching within the team.

The post offers opportunities for teaching, service development, and involvement in research, quality improvement, and evaluation across the wider psychology workforce.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical/forensic/counselling psychology accredited by BPS.
• Current HCPC registration and ongoing professional development.
• Experience providing supervision and supporting junior staff in psychology services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention.
• Lead and supervise trainees, assistant psychologists, and other staff within the service.
• Contribute to MDT planning, risk management, and care coordination across community teams.
• Engage in teaching, service development, and quality improvement activities.
• Participate in research, audits and service evaluation initiatives.
