Job description

This is a multifaceted role with a varied caseload, incorporating both urgent and routine patients across the three areas of the ICT: referral centre, core team, and Home First / Reablement. The post holder will be responsible for delegating work to other team members within the ICT, as well as managing their own caseload. This position presents an ideal opportunity for a Band 5 therapist seeking development or a Band 6 therapist looking for a new challenge, particularly in the rural communities of Gloucestershire.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Undertaking all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner, with access to guidance from highly specialised Physiotherapists within the trust.
2. Being professionally and legally accountable for a designated patient caseload and prioritising work effectively, balancing patient needs and professional demands.
3. Triage incoming referrals to determine urgency, delegate appropriately, or provide urgent responses in a timely manner.
4. Supervising, training, advising, supporting, and managing physiotherapists, physiotherapy technicians/assistants, reablement workers, students, and community care workers reporting to the post-holder.
5. Managing the operational aspects of the team, including coordinating, allocating, and organising work to meet service priorities.
