Job summary
Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust NHS is seeking an Occupational Therapist for the Intermediate Care team in Northampton. You will support people across Northamptonshire, work with Nurses, Doctors, and support workers to plan rehabilitation in patients’ homes, and help with timely hospital discharges.
Applicants must have HCPC registration and a relevant OT degree, with experience in community multidisciplinary teams and care for older adults.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification and HCPC registration in occupational therapy.
- Experience working with older adults in rehabilitation services.
- Experience within community multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience assessing complex patients and situations requiring detailed analysis.
- Experience providing clinical and managerial supervision.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical resource for the team and support staff development.
- Identify and develop knowledge and skills within the team.
- Work with community team to ensure high quality service delivery.
- Contribute to planning and delivery across countywide urgent community care.
- Support timely discharges and rehabilitation goals with colleagues.
