Come and join the Middlesbrough Community team. We are looking for an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our journey to change and improve the local community's experience with mental health services, adopting a "no wrong door approach".
We encourage staff to visit our bases, discuss opportunities, and get to know the MDT. We will support you to expand your knowledge and expertise, with opportunities to develop special interests such as substance misuse and psychological interventions.
The interventions team will provide complex interventions supporting people with severe and enduring mental health conditions, working with multi-agency partners. The Community Hub CMHT will support short-term interventions in collaboration with partner agencies and voluntary organizations.
You will be a valued team member and will develop excellent working relationships with partners and stakeholders. This innovative approach offers opportunities for growth and professional development.
You can expect regular supervision and support from a cohesive leadership team. The service operates Monday-Friday, 9-5pm; flexibility, part-time, or job share options can be considered.
As a team member, you will provide services to individuals presenting with mental health issues, focusing on psychologically informed brief interventions.
You will work collaboratively with service users of varying ages and needs, as well as their carers and families.
You should have significant experience working with people with mental ill health in care settings, delivering clinical interventions specific to care pathways.
You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage complex cases in partnership with other agencies. You will further develop skills in psychological therapies, psychosocial interventions, and care management.
You will encourage ongoing engagement from staff using effective leadership skills. You should use your own initiative and make independent decisions.
An commitment to high-quality care and engagement in quality improvement activities is expected. You will receive regular management and clinical supervision.
Due to the role's nature, applicants must be able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle. Adjustments can be made under the Equality Act 2010 if necessary.

Candidates must have at least 18 months post-qualifying experience, including sign-off of an appropriate preceptorship or competency framework.
