Job Description:

Our NHS client is looking for a band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to join their team based in Donnington, Shropshire. This is a full-time role for 3 months, starting immediately. The post involves working within an adult community mental health team, with flexibility across localities based on skills and service needs. Responsibilities include care coordination, clinical assessments, developing and delivering recovery-focused interventions, and providing consultation and supervision to colleagues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage a complex caseload, including assessments, care planning, and evaluation.
  • Participate in setting quality standards, audits, and practice reviews.
  • Assess individual care needs and develop tailored care programs.
  • Deliver interventions including pharmacological and psychological therapies.
  • Complete risk assessments and promote positive risk-taking.
  • Use outcome measures to review intervention effectiveness.
  • Contribute to clinical governance and service development.
  • Work within NMC Code and maintain professional competence.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Qualification in providing supervision.
  • Non-medical Prescriber.
  • Qualifications in psychological interventions (e.g., EMDR, CBT, DBT, etc.).
  • Registered Assessor/Supervisor for students.
  • Extensive post-registration experience with adults with mental health issues.
  • Experience working with complex cases and in community settings.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary team working and clinical audits.
