Job summary

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a dietitian to provide advanced dietetic services within a specialist and complex clinical area. The role requires a high level of skill and independence, with responsibilities spanning assessment, interpretation of data, and nutrition advice tailored to individual needs.

You will work within the MDT, attend clinical meetings, and contribute to training and development while maintaining professional accountability and adherence to Trust policies.

Qualifications

• Evidence-based practice in comprehensive community assessments.
• Advanced reasoning to interpret nutrition data.
• Competent in anthropometry and related measurements.

Responsibilities

• Be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own dietetic work in patient care, adhering to professional codes and Trust policies.
• Use evidence-based practice to assess community patients, including biochemical, anthropometric, clinical, dietary history and social factors, with advanced data interpretation.
• Provide dietetic services in a specialist, complex area at an independent advanced practitioner level.
• Be assessed as competent to perform accurate nutritional measurements and train others in these methods (anthropometry, MUAC, grip strength, growth plotting, BMI).
• Offer nutrition and dietary advice tailored to medical, social and cultural factors, considering patient/carer communication levels.
• Attend clinical meetings and communicate closely with the MDT and other agencies as required.
• Support colleagues and contribute to MDT discussions to optimise patient care.
