A community-focused co-operative in Lincoln is looking for a Senior Community Co-ordinator to lead initiatives in local communities. The ideal candidate will have experience in community engagement, people management, and strong communication skills. We are looking for a new colleague to join us as a Senior Community Co-ordinator. In this role, you will support the manager with developing community strategies and plans that involve local businesses, schools, suppliers and community networks. You will inspire and lead a small team of Community Co-ordinators and Assistants, and manage and support a number of community initiatives, including Wellbeing Walks, Health Pods and Community Cuppas, as well as activities relating to food poverty and supporting vulnerable people and those who experience physical and mental health concerns.
You will be our voice in your local area and will influence and inspire colleagues from each business area to get involved, demonstrating the difference we can make in our communities.
The role is based at our Support Centre in Lincoln with some flexibility for remote working. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use are required, as some travel will be needed for community events and other Society activities.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a community engagement role and in people management. We are looking for someone who can influence others, lead and manage projects, and bring energy, drive and determination to achieve outcomes. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen and engage effectively with your audience, are essential.
You should demonstrate strong written skills and confidence in using IT systems, including Office 365 and social media platforms. You will be able to work on your own initiative, prioritise your time, and contribute ideas as a proactive, collaborative team member of the Community team.
