Hcrg Care Group in Surrey seeks a Band 7 Community Children’s Nursing Team Lead to guide a dedicated Children’s Community Nursing Team. You will deliver safe, evidence-based care, lead service improvements, and support a workforce focused on family-centred outcomes.

The role balances strategic leadership with hands-on clinical practice, fostering governance, training, and collaboration with partners to meet local needs.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Child/ RSCN with Specialist Practitioner (Community Children's Nursing) or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ solid paediatric clinical experience
• Proven leadership experience (staff management, project/change lead)
• Experience in service development and clinical governance
• Strong IT competence with healthcare systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Functional numeracy and literacy
• Skilled in handling difficult conversations

Responsibilities

• Adhere to NMC Codes and organisational policies.
• Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the Children's Community Nursing Team.
• Deputise for Clinical Team Leaders and Service Manager as required.
• Plan and deliver holistic, evidence-based care with families and multi-agency teams.
• Maintain advanced clinical competencies (line care, feeding, ventilation, wounds).
• Ensure safe use and maintenance of complex equipment.
• Contribute clinically to service delivery and quality improvement (30%).
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families.
