Job summary

TransitionZero is seeking a senior, hands-on community builder to develop and lead our global user and contributor community around Scenario Builder’s open-core ecosystem. You will scale participation, prepare users for open-source components, and create clear pathways to become repeat contributors.

You will report to the Head of Market Development and collaborate with Product, Solutions Engineering, Engineering, and Marketing to own the community programme and member experience.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of building or developing a technical community.
• Experience owning a community programme from planning to delivery.
• Excellent written communication and facilitation skills.
• Sufficient technical fluency to learn a complex software product.
• Experience enabling peer learning and contributions.
• Strong organisational judgement across functions/time zones.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a practical community plan focused on adoption and contribution to TransitionZero’s open core.
• Build on existing community channels with onboarding to attract contributors and establish guidelines.
• Manage day-to-day community activity with timely responses and context for colleagues.
• Turn recurring questions into durable resources (FAQs, guides, learning materials).
• Run engagement programmes (webinars, calls) and coordinate speakers for events.
• Make event outputs accessible after sessions and align with product/marketing.
• Coordinate community onboarding with engineering and project teams and manage readiness for releases.
