Job summary

Staffordshire Police is seeking an experienced Senior Communications Officer to join the Corporate Communications & Engagement team. You will help shape how the force connects with communities, partners and stakeholders, delivering impactful communications and engagement activity using audience insight.

You will work with operational policing teams to create engaging content, identify issues, support reputation management and ensure local voices shape organisational priorities.

Qualifications

  • Experience in communications, public relations, engagement or marketing.
  • Excellent writing, content creation and storytelling skills.
  • Experience using insight, data and audience feedback to shape communications activity.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Political awareness and experience handling sensitive communications.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

We're looking for an experienced communications professional to join our Corporate Communications & Engagement team and help shape how Staffordshire Police connects with communities, partners and stakeholders.

This is an exciting role for someone who understands the power of insight-led communications, audience engagement and compelling storytelling. You'll help build public confidence in policing by developing and delivering impactful communications and engagement activity, using community feedback, sentiment analysis and audience insight to inform your approach.

Working closely with operational policing teams, partners and community representatives, you'll create engaging content and campaigns, identify emerging issues, support reputation management and ensure the voices of local people help shape organisational priorities.

Residency Eligibility
