Job summary

FYBA Talent is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning across water infrastructure projects on the Yorkshire Water framework. You will manage commissioning engineers and coordinate commissioning activities through to project handover.

In this role you will develop commissioning plans, ensure robust testing and documentation, and work closely with project teams, suppliers and clients to deliver safe, on-time handovers and excellent project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong background in mechanical, electrical and/or process commissioning.
• Water/wastewater sector experience is highly desirable.
• Experience leading commissioning teams and coordinating multiple projects.
• Minimum HNC in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of commissioning, testing and project handover.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with BIM/digital engineering tools would be advantageous.
• SMSTS and professional qualifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage commissioning teams across multiple projects.
• Develop commissioning and process impact plans alongside project teams and Yorkshire Water.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical and process commissioning activities.
• Ensure robust commissioning procedures, testing, records and documentation are maintained.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, designers and operational teams.
• Coordinate internal teams, suppliers and specialist subcontractors.
• Ensure commissioning activities are delivered safely and in line with programme and quality requirements.
• Support client training, project handover and aftercare.
• Monitor commissioning progress and provide regular reporting.
• Recruit, mentor and develop commissioning engineers and junior team members.
