Job summary

NUVIA UK is expanding across the defence, nuclear and energy sectors, seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management on major infrastructure projects, ensuring NEC contracts compliance and robust cost control.

The role reports to Commercial Manager, supports Project Manager, manages AFPs, CVR, forecasts, and change control, and mentors junior staff, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder collaboration and risk management.

Qualifications

Degree in Quantity Surveying or related subject.
Chartered status pursued or attained.
Experience in a Senior QS or similar role.
Experience on major infrastructure / complex projects.
Good knowledge of NEC contracts.
Ability to manage multiple work packages / workstreams.
PC literate in the Microsoft Office suite.
Full Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

Lead commercial management across multiple work packages.
Review, draft and approve AFP submissions.
Manage and present cost reporting (CVR / forecasting / AFPs) to senior stakeholders.
Lead change management, commercial negotiations, and contract administration.
Manage subcontractor accounts through to final account.
Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities.
Lead on presentation of commercial positions, including reporting and forecasts.
Manage, mentor, and support junior commercial staff.
Provide commercial guidance and oversight across the wider team.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and delivery teams.
