Job description

BAM FM is recruiting a Senior Commercial Manager - PFI to join the team in the wider FM Operation. Working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. This role can be based out of any of our UK Offices.

Your mission

The Senior Commercial Manager – PFI supports the Head of Commercial in developing commercial solutions and processes to ensure maximum recovery of contractual entitlements. Responsibilities include managing the PFI Commercial Team, negotiating within BAM FM, analyzing contracts for risks and opportunities, and supporting negotiations and dispute resolutions with clients and partners.

Additional duties involve ensuring compliance with contract payment mechanisms, liaising with finance, legal, estimating, and procurement teams to manage commercial issues effectively.

Principal Accountabilities:
  1. Operational: Develop and implement commercial strategies, manage the PFI workload and team, provide commercial advice, control budgets and forecasts, manage risks and opportunities, ensure KPI compliance, update indexation files, develop financial targets, and manage contracts and procurement processes.
  2. Compliance: Implement health and safety, quality, and environmental policies ensuring legal and company policy compliance.
  3. People: Manage and develop the PFI Commercial team, foster effective relationships with the FM team and clients, and ensure customer requirements are met.
Who are we looking for?
  • Qualification in Commercial Management / Quantity Surveying, ideally RICS qualified to MRICS level.
  • At least 10 years of successful experience as a Commercial Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of performance reporting, financial and budgeting processes.
  • Excellent commercial awareness, strategic thinking, IT skills, organizational, presentation, interpersonal, and people management skills.
  • Alignment with BAM values.
