Join Ward – one of the UK’s leading metal recycling and waste management companies – as a Senior Commercial Manager in our dynamic Non-Ferrous division.
We’re seeking a motivated and knowledgeable commercial professional to take responsibility for building and managing our non-ferrous purchasing network. This is a field-based role with regular travel to our UK sites, suppliers, and partners. You’ll play a key role in developing and growing our non-ferrous tonnage, overseeing supplier pricing, and supporting operational teams across material quality and commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Grow non-ferrous purchasing across the UK and increase supply to Ward sites.
* Develop and manage supplier relationships, pricing structures, and material quality standards.
* Support market development for individual grades and new business streams.
* Produce supplier pricing sheets and provide insight on market conditions.
* Oversee supplier payments and liaise with internal accounts teams.
* Collaborate closely with the Head of Non-Ferrous and site teams on operational alignment.
* Manage and deliver UK-wide non-ferrous projects.
* Support the wider team through coaching and attending joint site visits.
Personal Development:
* On-the-job training in sales processes, material grading, and commercial outlets.
* Gain deep understanding of non-ferrous sales markets and material compositions.
