Job summary

SES Ltd in the SES South division is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial strategy across one or more projects through the full lifecycle, including projects with a cumulative value up to £60 million. You will drive cost control, change and cash flow management, and robust reporting while overseeing contractual risk and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience managing commercial aspects of complex projects in construction.
• Knowledge of procurement, cost reporting and cash flow management.
• Familiarity with NEC or JCT contract forms and risk management.
• Proven leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant degree or professional body (RICS/CIOB) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commercial strategies across full project lifecycle.
• Lead cost control, change management, cash collection and risk management.
• Ensure contracts are understood and managed by project teams.
• Produce timely cost reports, cash flow forecasts and risk registers.
• Maintain robust commercial records and progress reporting.
• Build relationships with customers, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop commercial team members.
• Escalate key commercial decisions with proper governance.
