Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Commercial Manager to oversee cost and contract management for healthcare construction projects from award through final account, including central programme duties for large hospital schemes.

You will ensure cost control, risk management, and value for money, with emphasis on change control, KPI governance, and data provision to support analytics across the programme.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial management within construction of major programmes and projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC4 and/or JCT contracts.
• Excellent cost control, reporting, and collaboration skills.
• Experience working with public-sector healthcare clients and live healthcare environments.
• Understanding of healthcare standards and compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor commercial performance and forecast vs baseline for cost and KPIs.
• Visit sites for health checks and escalate commercial risks with recovery actions.
• Conduct commercial assurance of change control and ensure proper definitions and pricing.
• Review changes for compliance and value for money before commitment.
• Perform trend analysis and provide data to support benchmarks.
• Oversee close-out and final accounts and manage risk opportunities.
• Engage with trusts, tier 1 contractors, and suppliers to resolve issues.
