Job Description

  • Develop and execute commercial strategies to maximise growth within the discounter retail segment.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with key accounts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for expansion.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements with retail partners to optimise profitability.
  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to drive innovation and efficiency within the sales department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Commercial Manager - Discounters will have:

  • A strong background in the FMCG sector, specifically within the sales function.
  • Proven experience in managing relationships with discount retail channels.
  • Proven success in scaling up a channel. Deliver a channel strategy.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

  • A solid understanding of the UK retail landscape, particularly in Rochester and surrounding areas.
