Job description

At Houst , we make hosting hassle-free. From Edinburgh to Auckland, we’re transforming the short-term rental space through smart tech, strong partnerships, and a focus on host happiness. Since 2015, we’ve helped thousands of property owners unlock new income – and we’re only getting started.

We’re now hiring a Senior Commercial Manager to lead both our core Sales and Partnerships departments. Previously split into two teams, we’ve decided to consolidate under single leadership – someone who can lead from the front, contribute directly to revenue growth, and drive performance across both areas. This role is critical to our next growth phase, and we need someone with serious sales ability, leadership presence, and a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset.

What you'll be doing:

  • Drive the GTM of Houst, working with the Global Head of Sales (and Head of Growth), to accelerate both our Partner (similar to franchise) and Host acquisition
  • Own and deliver sales targets, leading both of our sales teams to success
  • Design and implement inbound and outbound sales strategies to drive volume across both business and franchise channels
  • Build and manage strong partnerships and lead generation pipelines – local and international
  • Coach, inspire, and develop your team to consistently hit targets
  • Support team growth via hiring, structured onboarding, ongoing training, and 1:1 development
  • Analyse the sales pipeline and performance metrics to continuously optimise output
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle, ensuring our CRM is clean and up-to-date
  • Present regular KPI reports to the Global Head of Sales, and wider Senior Leadership Team
  • Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities
  • 5-10 years of commercial leadership experience (ideally in both inbound and outbound sales, with international or B2B exposure)
  • Previous success as both an individual contributor and team leader
  • Proven ability to hit and exceed targets in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Strong communicator who leads by example and motivates others
  • Organised, adaptable, and hungry to grow with the business
  • A natural problem-solver with a strategic mindset
  • Comfortable working from our London office on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday each week.
  • Uncapped bonus potential - linked to performance of both teams
  • 25 days of paid holiday (+ your birthday off!)
  • Hybrid work setup with in-office days on Mon, Wed & Fri
  • Enhanced parental leave
