Salary: £70,000 to £90,000 depending on experience, plus 5% bonus, 28 days holiday, a market-leading pension with 7.5% employee contribution and 15% company contribution, among other benefits.

As a Senior Commercial Manager at the forefront of the UK's energy revolution, you'll be a key member of the Supply Chain team, procuring and/or managing contracts, liaising daily with Programme Delivery and other functions as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).

You will foster collaborative supplier relationships to optimize contracts from cost, delivery, and quality perspectives.

You'll be at the heart of delivering Britain's biggest zero-carbon electricity generator.

The skills you'll need...

As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will be the primary commercial contact for your contracts and work closely with stakeholders across SZC teams. We are recruiting across teams in Civils, Marine, Equipment, Engineering, and Client Insight. We welcome experienced Commercial Managers ready for the next step or proven Senior Commercial Managers.

We seek professionals with experience in FIDIC and NEC 3 & 4 contracts, major projects, UK law, procurement, contract performance measurement, risk, change, and claims management.

What you'll be doing

1. The day-to-day management of Commercial/Supply Chain Managers and Assistants.
2. Managing relationships with suppliers daily.
3. Implementing all Principal Accountabilities for the contract commercial team per procedures.
4. Developing and delivering a Commercial/Contract Strategy.
5. Managing stakeholder engagement.
6. Identifying and managing risks related to Contract Delivery or Supply Chain.
7. Supporting procurement processes and reviewing procurement routes.
8. Leading and managing contract execution phases, ensuring alignment with project scope, costs, and timelines.
9. Managing the contract closeout phase.

What we're looking for:

You should be capable of developing, implementing, and operating commercial strategies across disciplines, with excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills, and strong contract management expertise. Membership in RICS, CICES, IOB, CIPS, or similar is desirable.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
