About this opportunity

Our Energy team is delivering projects on nuclear new build programmes across the UK that are crucial to Britain’s energy independence and our NetZero 2050 targets.

As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will lead multi-million pound contracts vital to project delivery. Your responsibilities include delivering robust commercial oversight, contract management, large-scale procurement, and contract negotiations.

Key responsibilities
  • Procure, negotiate, and execute construction contracts, ensuring value for money and that contracts meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Manage all awarded contracts within your portfolio in accordance with contractual and governance requirements to achieve project objectives.
  • Provide oversight of individual contracts to ensure alignment with other projects, with regular reporting on scope, schedule, costs, key personnel, and incentives.
  • Establish, track, and take corrective actions to ensure procurement milestones are met, value for money is evidenced, and stakeholder and project requirements are fulfilled.
Who we're looking for
  • Experience in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management; Nuclear, Civil engineering, or Service Contracting sectors preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills, methodical organizational approach, problem-solving, negotiation, and numeracy skills.
  • HNC, HND, or Degree in Cost Management, Construction Law, or relevant discipline; relevant engineering background may be considered.
  • Professional memberships such as RICS, CIOB, CICES, CIPS are desirable and supported if not already attained.
