The Civil Works Alliance (CWA) is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function on the Sizewell C project. You will oversee multi-million-pound initiatives from inception to delivery, guiding procurement, contract negotiations, risk management and financial reporting within the project senior leadership team.

Ideal candidates will hold a BSc/MSc in Quantity Surveying and be chartered with RICS, ICES, or CIOB, with a proven track record of leading large teams in construction

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Chartered member or fellow of RICS, ICES or CIOB.
• Proven leadership of large commercial teams.
• Experience managing high-value projects in construction/energy.

• Lead the commercial team and ensure financial success across the Marine and Tunnels section of works.
• Manage tendering, contract negotiations, and procurement processes.
• Provide strategic commercial input to the project, from planning through to delivery.
• Ensure effective risk management and contract compliance.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional development.
• Liaise with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Use your expertise to make critical decisions and ensure the project runs smoothly.

Senior Commercial Manager Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C

As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This role will be within the CWA Wide Section.

What will you do?

We're looking for a Senior Commercial Manager with deep industry experience and a passion for leadership. In this senior role, you'll manage complex, multi-million-pound projects from inception to completion, overseeing everything from procurement and contract negotiations to risk management and financial reporting. You'll be an integral part of the project senior leadership team, ensuring the commercial and financial success of each initiative.
