Job summary

AWE is seeking a Commercial Lead for Major Estates and Infrastructure in Reading. This senior role directs commercial delivery across an extensive estate portfolio, overseeing contracts worth hundreds of millions and leading four Principal Contract Managers.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading commercial teams across major infrastructure/estates portfolios.
• Track record of developing commercial strategy and leading negotiations in high-value contracting environments.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and commercial decisions in complex organisations.

Responsibilities

• Set the commercial direction, priorities and performance expectations for a strategically important Estates & Liabilities portfolio.
• Develop and implement commercial strategies that maximise value and manage risk.
• Provide robust commercial oversight of obligations, performance, change, claims and governance.
• Partner with engineering, operations and programme leaders to translate priorities into deliverables.
• Lead complex negotiations and provide strategic direction on major commercial decisions.
• Lead AWE’s commercial relationships with strategic suppliers for long-term value.
• Develop capability and succession within a sizeable commercial organisation led by four Principal Contract Managers.
• Champion governance, assurance and decision-making across a complex portfolio.
