The job holder will be responsible for driving the strategic network of new and existing supplier propositions across the business and wider group. They will also own the strategic approach for managing the project handover process into the Project Delivery Team to ensure smooth transition and delivery of all assets on time and to standard. This includes influencing and leading multiple branded projects simultaneously.

Role overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and lead the strategy to enable Commercial and brands to bring world-class shopping experiences to market.
  • Lead complex scopes of work for Branded projects.
  • Formulate the Brand/Commercial strategy into a clear brief for Design services.
  • Manage projects from conception through all stages up to RDG approval.
  • Collaborate with internal functions like Macro and Micro space, Retail Marketing, Retail Operations, GNFR, Information Systems, InfoSec.
  • Lead multiple projects, including meetings at initiation, planning, progress, and closure stages.
  • Maintain a database of supplier collateral, assets, and lifecycle for budgeting cycles.
  • Report to the Head of Format & Commercial Initiatives and work with various teams to develop operational benchmarks.
  • Plan projects with an annual value of approximately 40M.
  • Maximize commercial opportunities via program alignment and feasibility studies for concessions.
  • Build supplier relationships for negotiations.
  • Coordinate activities across functions to meet revenue goals.
  • Develop relationships with key brands for market-leading in-store experiences.
  • Work with the Design Account team to drive profitability of supplier brand accounts.
  • Establish clear 'Ways of working' procedures with key functions.
  • Provide periodic dashboards to Senior Execs on project progress.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of report writing and presenting to senior forums.
  • Knowledge of Financial and Customer Business Plans, aligning projects with business strategy.
  • Strong analytical skills to critique and challenge analysis.
  • Highly organized with good planning skills for store openings.
  • Strong commercial awareness and customer focus.
  • Collaborative style, engaging stakeholders throughout projects.
  • Experience managing project meetings across Retail and Commercial functions.
