Job summary

CooperVision in Southampton, UK, is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial FP&A Analyst, EMEA, to drive reporting, analysis and insights across the EMEA region. Reporting to the EMEA Senior FP&A Manager, you will work with the FP&A team and key stakeholders to support strategic plans, budgets, forecasts and weekly flash.

The role requires ACMA/ACCA/ACA qualification, 4+ years PQE, and a track record in commercial finance within a European subsidiary.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with PQE (4+ years) in a commercial FP&A or finance role.
• Experience working with European subsidiaries and regional leadership.
• Strong analytical, budgeting, forecasting and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support to EMEA SLT and OpEx leadership to guide decisions.
• Month-end support across EMEA OpEx; analyze cost drivers and headcount.
• Lead EMEA forecast, budget cycle and variance presentations to Finance Leaders.
• Drive revenue growth via OpEx investment analysis and ROI modelling.
• Lead reporting, BI and AI initiatives for consistent insights across FP&A.
• Evaluate market revenue and margin performance to inform management.
• Partner with senior leaders to ensure consistent reporting across markets.

The EMEA Senior FP&A Analyst is an exciting role in the commercially orientated FP&A team sitting at the heart of the EMEA Commercial Finance organization. Reporting to the EMEA Senior FP&A Manager this hands-on role works in close collaboration with the EMEA FP&A Team and key business stakeholders to drive best practice Reporting, Analysis and Insights across the region. Closely involved in the preparation of strategic plans, annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and weekly flash. Analyzing actual results and supporting improved management decision-making.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities

• Key analytical support for the EMEA SLT & EMEA OpEx Leadership Teams to enhance proactive decision making and making recommendations to guide the business.
• Month-end support for EMEA OpEx departments, developing a deep understanding of the cost drivers and headcount across the departments.
• Submission of the EMEA monthly, quarterly forecast, and annual budget cycle Regional OpEx departments. Presentation of key variances and summary to the EMEA Finance Leadership Team.
• Drive revenue growth through prioritised OpEx investments, leveraging financial analysis, ROI modelling, and AI-enabled insights to improve investment decisions, optimise spending efficiency, and maximise business value.
• Lead best practices in reporting, BI, and AI across the EMEA FP&A team, driving consistency, process efficiency, and enhanced financial insights through automation and analytics.
• Evaluate market revenue & margin performance, and provide insights and recommendations for management decisions.
• Partnering with Senior leaders across Finance, regional teams, and local markets to ensure consistent reporting and sharing of key financial and commercial drivers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Commercial and strategic focus, thinking fast, adapting and developing solutions to changing priorities and business demands
• Hands‑on close and financial experience backed with a broad technical background of US GAAP to understand the drivers and demands of all aspects of Regional and Corporate Finance
• Executive presence, comfortable working with business leaders to build a case and recommend actions
• Direct, hands‑on experience in creating, tracking and controlling actual, forecasts and budget metrics.
• Proven ability to analyse actual vs. plan results and summarise underlying drivers of variances as well as providing clear and succinct interpretation of results to management.
• Use of AI tools to strengthen analytics and decision‑making.

Experience and Education / Qualifications

• Qualified (ACMA/ACCA/ACA) Accountant or equivalent
• Strong experience working with commercial teams
• Likely to have +4 years PQE
• Prior experience working for a European subsidiary of a US multi‑national
• Working at executive, global or regional leadership levels with individual contributors, Directors, and President level staff
