Job Description:

A leading Solar Developer is seeking to appoint a Senior Commercial Finance Manager/FD to join its growing business.

With a background in renewable development, you will have overall responsibility for the commercial management of the UK entity, including Finance, Controlling, Tax, HR, and Legal aspects where applicable. Reporting to the CEO, you will play an active role in the strategic and operational development of the UK business.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under UK GAAP (and IFRS in the future)
  • Ensuring compliance with group-wide accounting policies and alignment in consolidated financial statements
  • Serving as a key interface between local management and the Group CFO/Group Finance
  • Implementation and maintenance of an effective project controlling system, including monthly project evaluations and variance analyses in cooperation with Group Controlling
  • Active role in the intercompany charging system, including transfer pricing, documentation, and tax-compliant execution in coordination with Group Tax
  • Responsible for cash flow planning, liquidity management, and working capital control
  • Oversight of tax filings in close cooperation with local tax advisors and the corporate tax team
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (Companies Act, HMRC, internal policies)
  • Building, leading, and developing the local team (e.g., Finance, HR, Admin)
  • Promoting a performance-driven and solution-oriented corporate culture

You will be:
