Job summary

IMG is a leading global sports marketing agency seeking a seasoned Qualified Accountant to partner with commercial leads. You will own budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for the commercial team, driving performance insights and cost optimization.

The role requires strong Excel and Power BI skills, experience with P&L ownership, pricing and risk management, and a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Mandatory Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years' post-qualified experience (PQE).
• Minimum 1 year of commercial finance experience.
• Previous Commercial Finance management experience.
• Proven business partnering experience supporting multiple stakeholders.
• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
• Experience managing P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, ROI analysis, pricing structures and risk management.
• Strong track record of delivering results within a commercial finance environment.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Lookup functions, conditional formulas, financial modelling and data analysis.
• Experience using Power BI for reporting and analytics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear commercial insights and recommendations.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and their financial impact.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a matrix organisation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including influencing senior leaders.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• High level of numeracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Calm and effective under pressure.
• Flexible and adaptable, including occasional longer or irregular hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting and forecasting for the commercial team.
• Manage month-end close and performance analysis.
• Provide timely performance insights on clients, risks/opportunities and resource utilisation.
• Support pricing, discounts and trade spend decisions.
• Ensure SOX and internal controls compliance.
• Drive process improvements in planning, reporting and systems usage.
