About the job Job summary
Reporting to the NS&I Head of Commercial Finance, the role of Senior Commercial Finance Analyst is part of the wider NS&I finance function. We are a small, collaborative team at the heart of NS&I working to support the delivery of NS&I’s strategic and operational objectives, whilst ensuring the principles of financial governance in the public sector are upheld.
We’re on a journey to transform our operating model to a new multi-supplier model from our existing contract with our business process outsourcing provider, Atos, is shortly due to expire. This would enable us to become a customer centric, modern and dynamic business that’s better equipped at delivering services that meet our customers’ evolving needs, presenting us with an opportunity to transform our operations.
This role, sitting within the Commercial Finance team is required to conduct financial analysis and due diligence of the supplier charges in preparation for service go live dates and beyond. The post holder will work closely with colleagues in the NS&I Commercial function to ensure agreed commercial outcomes are delivered and value for money is demonstrated.
The post holder will be required to build relationships with strategic suppliers, analyse data presented by suppliers and challenge when necessary. The role will enable strategic decision-making surrounding Business Transformation Programme (BTP) deliverables with the provision of timely, accurate and robust financial management information. The role will involve work closely with colleagues across the business such as the Financial Control Unit and Project Team. The role will have exposure to Corporate Planning, P&L forecasting and budgeting, supporting the wider finance team as required.
