Job summary

A well-established law firm in Chelmsford is seeking an experienced Commercial Disputes Associate to join its disputes team on a permanent basis, handling a broad range of complex commercial litigation for a diverse client base.

The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years' PQE in commercial litigation, strong advocacy skills, and a proven ability to manage a varied caseload, deliver strategic, risk-based advice, and build durable client relationships.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years' PQE in commercial litigation.
• Experience managing a varied caseload independently.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to provide strategic, risk-based advice to clients.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, including court proceedings.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships while managing competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage commercial litigation matters from instruction through to resolution.
• Provide strategic, risk-based advice to clients and manage cases independently.
• Advocate in court proceedings and prepare arguments and submissions.
