Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel to support the General Counsel and UK Legal team in providing high-quality, commercially focused legal advice for Alliance Healthcare group companies in the UK.

The role requires England & Wales admission with 5+ years PQE, broad commercial contract experience, and strong drafting/negotiation skills. Hybrid work from Chessington, Surrey, with responsibilities across contracts, governance and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor or advocate admitted in England and Wales.
• 5+ years PQE with major City or regional firm; in-house experience preferred.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and broad commercial contract knowledge.
• Experience in data protection, TUPE, IP, anti-trust, and general contract law.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercially focused legal advice to support business needs.
• Draft, negotiate and advise on commercial contracts reflecting strategy.
• Manage complex legal projects with minimal supervision.
• Represent the business in contract negotiations and governance matters.
• Train non-legal colleagues on legal and regulatory requirements.
