Job Description

The role offers excellent self-development and learning opportunities. The successful candidate will receive time and funding to complete their qualification/membership to MCIPS, funded annually by the organization. The purpose is to provide DVSA operations with commercial expertise aligned with Government Commercial Functions, managing categories by spend and type through the entire commercial cycle—pre-procurement, procurement, contract management, and benefits realization—leading to improved services and efficiency savings over the life of commercial arrangements.

The Successful Applicant

Responsibilities include:

• Leading a team to develop the Category Management approach
• Ensuring team delivery against strategies
• Operating in a regulated public sector commercial environment consistent with Commercial Operating Standards
• Managing sub-categories with a value of approximately £25m

What's on Offer

Alongside a salary of £42,848, the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency contributes £12,413 towards the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.
