Job description

Salary Brackets: £40,000 - £60,000 OTE DOE
Full Time Position: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Must be commutable to Tiverton and/or South Molton

About the Agency

Our agency has experienced rapid growth over the past five years, and we are seeking a motivated, skilled individual to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will undertake various tasks, including:

  1. Planning, prospecting, and selling commercial and general insurance products
  2. Developing and managing a pipeline of business to meet targets
  3. Prospecting, self-generating, planning, and managing commercial opportunities
  4. Identifying and cross-selling leads for financial and risk management services
  5. Developing and executing marketing campaigns and trade show stands to generate leads
  6. Carrying out external customer visits professionally and compliantly
  7. Maintaining and developing technical knowledge and skills
  8. Building productive relationships with key stakeholders
  9. Collaborating effectively with your full-time account handler

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Generating £250,000 in new business annually
  • Referring clients to our in-house Financial Advisor team to earn 5,000 credits
  • Referring clients to our Risk Management Services Sales Consultant to generate at least £5,000 in sales

About You

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in IT, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Problem-solving skills and sound judgment
  • Flexible and open-minded attitude
  • Strong background in sales and customer service (insurance experience is a plus but not essential)
  • Highly organized, able to meet deadlines

Qualifications required include GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and IT at Grade C or above (Grade 4 or above).
