Job summary

The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust invites applications for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Colorectal Surgery. The post offers consultant-led training in the operating theatre with expectation to make sound independent clinical judgments while managing a complex patient group day-to-day.

Fellows will rotate across subspecialty teams, participate in teaching and have opportunities for research and service improvement roles within a leading colorectal unit.

Qualifications

• Must have completed general surgery training to CCT level or equivalent.
• Eligible for consultant practice and duties after fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Lead independent ward rounds and clinics.
• Perform theatre lists independently as appropriate to experience.
• Participate in on-call rota (Senior Registrar level, non-resident).
• Contribute to teaching and research activities within the unit.
• Engage in multidisciplinar meetings and audits.
