The Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology at the University of Cambridge is seeking a Senior Collections Assistant for the Centre for Material Culture. The role will promote teaching using Higher Education collections and help enable access to a wide range of university courses from 2025.

Reporting to the Director and Curators, you will build links with academic departments, support student access, and assist with programming sessions, collaborating with the MAA learning team and colleagues

Responsibilities

• Promote and support Higher Education collections-based teaching at the MAA's Centre for Material Culture (CMC).
• Establish and maintain connections with a range of academic departments; liaise with departmental staff to identify teaching opportunities.
• Support student access and assist with programming sessions.
• Collaborate with the wider MAA collections team and learning staff, including the Senior Education and Outreach Assistant (Centre for Material Culture).
