Senior Collection Merchandiser - High Jewellery

The Role

This is a global role working with and supporting the VP of Product Marketing in managing High Jewellery and internal collaborations within the DB group, focusing on sales growth and margin improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting the review of market trends, competitor offerings, and pricing to evaluate business opportunities.
  2. Developing campaign strategies and 3-year global plans for High Jewellery product categories.
  3. Assisting with regional and global product launches.
  4. Managing the product portfolio, ranges, and pricing strategies.
  5. Implementing a transparent, commercially aware cost management approach.

The role collaborates with global teams to execute strategies, launch plans, and selling tools, monitor ROI, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. You will lead and manage a team of two.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Supporting brand product portfolio strategy and launch plans.
  2. Participating in product development from ideation to market performance, including forecasting, pricing, and sales analysis.
  3. Monitoring competition and sales performance to inform strategy.
  4. Developing and executing global product strategies to grow the business profitably.
  5. Setting growth and turnover objectives within the 3-year plan.
  6. Conducting market research to inform product development and marketing strategies.

Product Marketing

  1. Supporting product launch planning and developing creative briefs aligned with brand strategy.
  2. Managing the entire product development process, ensuring deadlines and margins are met.
  3. Proposing concepts, names, target audiences, and positioning for launches.
  4. Guaranteeing margins for new products and analyzing product range performance.

Financial and ROI Objectives

  1. Monitoring and reporting on ROI of product development.
  2. Analyzing marketing performance metrics to optimize the portfolio and campaigns.
  3. Aligning revenues with brand and business goals, improving margins annually.
  4. Recommending stock management and pricing strategies to optimize sales and margins.

Candidate Requirements

  • Relevant degree, professional qualification, or proven experience in luxury jewelry branding.
  • Interest in online and multichannel customer interactions.
  • Experience in strategic product marketing, preferably with Head Office exposure.
  • Project management experience with cross-functional teams, international experience mandatory.
  • Knowledge of the jewelry industry and ability to work with complex data and strategic thinking.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.
