Job summary

IQVIA in London is seeking a Senior COA Scientist to lead interpretation, documentation, and governance of COA scoring algorithms in clinical research. You will translate scoring manuals, publications and guidance into robust, implementation-ready requirements for downstream teams.

You will collaborate with statisticians, product, and engineering to ensure scoring methods are scientifically valid, well-documented, and aligned with instrument standards across delivery models and technologies.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with PhD/masters in a relevant field.
• 7+ years in COA science, outcomes research or related roles.
• Experience with instrument development, validation, or interpretation.
• Deep familiarity with COA concepts, including scoring structures and missing-data rules.
• Ability to translate scientific sources into structured docs and specs.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific leadership across COA evaluation and implementation.
• Support best practices, review deliverables, and strengthen scalable processes.
• Interpret source materials to define valid, implementation-ready scoring requirements.
• Define missing-data handling rules and scoring logic details.
• Collaborate with statisticians, programmers, product, and engineering to translate requirements.
