Job summary
Dover Precision Components in the United Kingdom is seeking a Skilled CNC Machinist to operate turning, milling or grinding centres to produce bespoke parts from steel, copper, brass, aluminium and bronze. The role offers permanent contracts with a 37-hour week, on multi-shift patterns including early and night shifts, with salaries £48,212.62 to £54,340.65 per year.

Qualifications
- Time-served apprenticeship or SVQ/NVQ Level 3 or HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
- Min 5 years operating CNC machine tools in lean manufacturing.
- Experience with multi-axis milling/turning/grinding; tooling and program editing.
- Proficient with Fanuc/Mazak/Heidenhain/Haas controls and precision inspection.
Responsibilities
- Read process sheets/blueprints to determine machining and tolerances.
- Locate/download programs from DNC storage; select/install tooling.
- Set feeds and speeds for various steel grades and alloys; edit programs.
- Inspect parts with micrometres, calipers, height gauages and bore gauges.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing to reduce setup times and improve productivity.
