Job summary

SER Limited is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to service DMG CNC machines across the Midlands. The role offers a permanent or self-employed path with a competitive £45,000-£55,000 salary, optional company van, private healthcare and pension, plus 25 days holiday.

You will perform field-based servicing, breakdown support, electrical fault-finding and diagnostics, working on servo drives, motors, spindles and ballscrews, with travel across the Midlands.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' CNC engineering experience.
• Strong DMG / DMG MORI machine experience - essential.
• Previous OEM / machine tool service background preferred.
• 70/30 electrical bias, though 50/50 engineers considered.
• Experience with Heidenhain, Siemens or Fanuc controls.
• Strong fault-finding and hands-on mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

• Field-based servicing and maintenance of DMG CNC machines.
• Breakdown support, servicing and maintenance.
• Electrical fault-finding and diagnostics.
• Work on servo drives, servo motors, spindles and ballscrews.
• Support a small number of key customers.
• Flexible working hours with regular travel across the Midlands.
