Are you looking for a new and exciting challenge with a forward-thinking organisation within the high-tech engineering sector? The Hyde Group are established industry experts within Aerospace Engineering and have a new vacancy for a CMM Inspector, working at our busy manufacturing site in Denton.

About the opportunity

This exciting role would involve you being responsible for CMM inspection of a wide range of component parts. You will be involved with both first-off inspections and you'll also be carrying out inspections on parts for final release. You will use your experience to identify ways in which we can improve our inspection processes and contribute towards continuous improvement activities. Naturally, you will play a huge part in ensuring quality standards are in place and contribute towards Quality Improvement plans.

Essential Skills
  1. Use of PCDMIS software.
  2. Ability to read and interrogate engineering drawings.
  3. Gauges, Measurements, and Inspection skills.
  4. Experience in Quality Control and Calibration.
  5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  6. Knowledge of CMM programming and operation.
  7. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  8. Experience using metrology equipment.
  9. Problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
  10. Relevant certification or training in metrology or related field.
Desirable skills
  1. Ideally, you'll have experience in the manual measurement of turned parts.
  2. The ability to programme using PCDMIS.
  3. Industry experience and familiarity with AS9100.
  4. Experience of putting together FAIRS.
