Job summary

XPS Group is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer in Reading to join the expanding XPS Cyber Security team. You will research and implement advanced security measures across cloud environments, networks, and applications, focusing on hardening and vulnerability management.

Reporting to the Cyber Security Engineering Manager, you will own cloud security posture, support security control implementations (Azure, app security), mentor colleagues, and contribute to threat modelling and security

Qualifications

• Experienced security engineer with cloud and application security focus.
• Knowledge of OWASP standards and risk-based vulnerability management.
• Ability to mentor IT/security colleagues on security principles.

Responsibilities

• Minimise risk with cloud and network security improvements.
• Own cloud security posture and attack surface management.
• Support security controls across Azure environments.
• Promote secure design principles and threat modelling.
• Assist with security training and incident management.
