Job summary

Aviva is seeking a Principal Cloud Security Specialist to strengthen security across AWS, Azure and multi-cloud environments. You will partner with engineering teams to identify risks, implement practical security solutions, and drive continuous compliance through automation.

You will lead security capabilities in a complex enterprise, balancing security with rapid delivery and business needs. The role offers a national footprint with hybrid working options and a strong Aviva benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in cloud security engineering across AWS and Azure in enterprise environments.
• Experience with cloud security tools (CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP) for vulnerability identification and remediation.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native tech, container/Kubernetes security, IaC, CI/CD, and secure SDLC practices.
• Experience implementing governance and automated compliance aligned to security standards while balancing business needs.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen security across AWS, Azure and other clouds within Aviva's environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify risks and implement practical security solutions.
• Lead automation and policy-driven controls to enable secure-by-design practices.
• Coach teams and communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
