Job summary

e.surv Chartered Surveyors in Kettering, UK is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to provide 3rd line support for cloud services, including Azure IaaS/PaaS, IaC, and DevOps pipelines. You will modernise Azure services, manage AD/AAD, and work with IT assets in a collaborative team.

Role requires deep Azure expertise, IaC implementation, and strong networking knowledge. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Kettering with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing and supporting Azure Cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, Networks)
• Proven ability to build infrastructure with IaC
• Deep experience with Active Directory, GPO, and Azure AD
• Experience building pipelines in Microsoft DevOps
• Good exposure to Remote Access solutions (VPN, Cloudflare)
• Knowledge of anti-virus solutions (BitDefender)
• Understanding of networking protocols and TCP/IP
• Solid backup/restore knowledge including Azure ASR
• Escalation point for support teams
• OS knowledge: Windows, Linux, iOS
• Process improvement in Incident/Problem Management

Responsibilities

• Design, plan and implement cloud infrastructure services
• Drive modernisation of services in Microsoft Azure using IaC
• Provide day-to-day 3rd line support for IaaS, storage and networks
• Support IT services like Active Directory, File & Print, Exchange Online
• Lead root-cause analysis and problem resolution
• Collaborate with technical partners and promote production deployments
• Maintain IT assets in the asset register
• Keep services updated and secure; manage end-of-life plans
