Job summary

Client Server Limited is seeking a Senior Cloud Network Engineer in London with AWS and Terraform IaC expertise. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and securing scalable cloud networking across VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN and Route 53, while integrating automation and CI/CD pipelines.

You will mentor peers, establish standards, and collaborate with security and DevOps to ensure resilient, observable network infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Expert in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform modules and state management.
• Strong AWS networking experience: VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53, SGs and NACLs.
• AWS Advanced Networking Specialty cert (or working toward).
• Technical leadership, mentorship and direction setting.
• Design for reliability, HA, failover, and disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of network security: segmentation, least privilege, secure connectivity.
• Automation and CI/CD experience for provisioning and change management.
• Knowledge of routing and switching including BGP; VPNs (IPSec, SSL); monitoring & observability.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, delivery and troubleshooting of AWS cloud networking with a focus on reliability and security.
• Create highly available architectures across VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53, SGs and NACLs.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security to implement cloud network security controls and monitoring.
• Design and maintain secure hybrid connectivity between AWS, Azure and on‑prem datacentres.
• Build reusable Terraform modules and CI/CD pipelines for network provisioning.
• Define cloud networking standards and mentor engineers across teams.

Senior Cloud Network Engineer (AWS Terraform IaC) London / WFH to £140k

Salary: GBP100000 - GBP140000 per annum + bonus + benefits

You could be progressing your career in a hands‑on Senior Cloud Network Engineer role at a highly profitable, systematic Hedge Fund that invests in sports betting markets whilst enjoying a range of perks and benefits.

As a Senior Cloud Network Engineer you’ll lead the design, delivery and troubleshooting of AWS cloud networking, with a strong focus on reliability, resilience and security. You’ll design highly available network architectures across VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53, security groups and NACLs, while embedding segmentation, least privilege access and threat protection by design.

Collaborating with Cyber Security, you’ll implement and continuously improve cloud network security controls, monitoring and architecture. You’ll also design and maintain secure hybrid connectivity between AWS, Azure and on‑premises datacentres, with strong observability, monitoring and capacity planning across the wider network estate.

Infrastructure as Code and automation will be central to the role. You’ll build reusable Terraform modules and patterns, develop CI/CD pipelines for network provisioning and change management and automate repeatable operational tasks.

You’ll help define cloud networking standards and best practice, mentor engineers and work closely with DevOps, Platform and wider technology teams to deliver robust, scalable infrastructure.

Location / WFH:

You’ll be based in fantastic offices in a vibrant area of London with in‑house gym and steam room, games room with pool tables and dart boards, library and free high quality catering (breakfast, lunch, dinner) from the onsite chef with flexibility to work from home once a week (please note that during probation you will be required onsite five days a week).

About you:

• You have expert Infrastructure as Code skills using Terraform including modules, state management, workspaces
• You have strong AWS networking expertise including VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53, security groups and NACLs
• You have achieved an AWS Advanced Networking Specialty certification (or are working towards it)
• You’re a technical leader, happy to set the direction and mentor others
• You have experience of designing for reliability and resilience: HA, failover, disaster recovery
• You have a good working knowledge of Network security including segmentation, least privilege access, secure connectivity, threat protection
• You have strong automation and CI/CD experience, provisioning, pipelines, network tooling
• You have a good knowledge of Routing and Switching (BGP), VPNs (IPSec, SSL), Network Monitoring and Observability
• You’re collaborative and pragmatic, able to push back where necessary
