Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a senior Software Engineer in London responsible for migrating and enhancing a cloud-native trade processing platform. You will be a core technical contributor, delivering secure, scalable software within an agile team across multiple business functions.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, strong Java 11 coding skills, and expertise in microservices, Kafka, JMS, and AWS. Collaboration with global teams and leadership in engineering practices are key aspects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of formal software engineering experience with training or certification
• Experience delivering system design, development, testing and operational stability
• Advanced knowledge of CI/CD, Application Resiliency and Security
• Advanced Java 11 coding and databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
• Experience with event-driven development, Kafka and JMS
• Experience with microservices architecture in globally distributed teams
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience with AWS and cloud migrations from on-premise to cloud-native

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to solve complex problems
• Produces secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms
• Delivers architecture and design artifacts for complex apps while ensuring constraints are met
• Analyzes large data sets to support improvements in software applications
