Job summary

METCLOUD is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, secure, automate, and support enterprise-grade cloud and hybrid infrastructure across customer and internal environments. You will lead cloud transformation projects and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with delivery teams.

You will work on Azure-centric infrastructure, with exposure to AWS/GCP, IaC tooling, and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise cloud environments.
• Experience delivering cloud migration and infrastructure transformation projects.
• Experience supporting production and business-critical systems.
• Experience working within managed service, consultancy, or customer-facing environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based service management processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support cloud infrastructure solutions across Microsoft Azure and hybrid environments.
• Manage and maintain production cloud platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, resilience, and security.
• Monitor and proactively manage infrastructure, identifying opportunities for improvement and automation.
• Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents and problems.
• Lead cloud migration, modernisation, and transformation projects from architecture through to implementation.
• Configure and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Implement and maintain security controls, identity management, compliance standards, and patch management processes.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation solutions.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, solution designs, build guides, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with Service Desk, Project Delivery, DevOps, and Customer Success teams to deliver solutions effectively.
• Engage with vendors and cloud providers to resolve issues and improve platform performance.
• Support pre-sales activities by providing technical expertise and contributing to solution designs and proposals.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, sharing knowledge and promoting technical best practices.
