Job summary

Gold Group in London is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to own the proactive, cloud and security-focused side of our technical environment within a growing MSP.

You will work with a small, highly skilled engineering team to improve clients’ infrastructure, security and IT performance, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

This office-based role offers 40 hours per week, 09:00–17:30, occasional client-site travel, and a salary up to £50,000 with benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in an IT support/MSP environment.
• FortiGate/Fortinet experience is highly desirable.
• Strong Microsoft 365 knowledge and administration.
• Experience with Conditional Access and SharePoint administration.
• Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM).
• Strong networking, firewall and router knowledge.
• Excellent Windows hardware and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Experience responding to cybersecurity incidents and breaches.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage, support and improve client cloud infrastructure and security environments.
• Create scripts and automation to improve cloud deployments and reporting, particularly within SharePoint.
• Act as a technical escalation point for complex firewall and networking queries.
• Configure, test and deploy updates to firewalls, routers and network infrastructure.
• Maintain accurate security, network and infrastructure documentation.
• Support and develop Microsoft 365, Conditional Access, SharePoint and MDM environments.
• Work with third-party suppliers to deliver technical services and solutions.
• Build strong relationships with clients and translate requirements into solutions.
• Manage multiple client requirements and technical projects to ensure on-time delivery.
