Job summary

A leading company in infrastructure engineering software seeks a Google Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud-based systems using GCP. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring cloud security, compliance, and operational efficiency through Infrastructure as Code practices. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage cloud infrastructure, and troubleshoot issues as they arise. The role requires deep expertise in GCP services and experience in cloud operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in cloud operations.

Position Summary : We areseekinga highly skilledGoogle CloudInfrastructure Engineer to join ourCloud Operationsteam. The ideal candidate willbe responsible fordesigning, building, andmaintainingcloud-based systems usingGoogle Cloud Platform(GCP). This role requires a deep understanding ofGCPservices, infrastructure as code, and cloud security.

Key Responsibilities :

· Plan and design the cloud infrastructure with GCP.

· Build and maintainInfrastructure as Code (IaC) modules and applications, preferably using Terraform.

· Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and scalability.

· Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the cloud infrastructure.

· Automate deployments and improve operational efficiency.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud services.

· Implement and manage monitoring and alerting systems using GCP Logging and Monitoring .

· Ensure cloud security and compliance with industry standards.

Required Skills and Experience :

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud operations or a related role.

· Extensive experience with GCPservices, includingIAM & Admin, VPC Network, Cloud Storage, Compute Engine,andBilling.

· Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, preferably Terraform.

· Experience with GoogleMaps,Google Analyticsis a plus.

· Strong scripting skills in PowerShell (and/or Python), preferably PowerShell

· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

• This position does not require travel.
• Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements ).

Preferred Qualifications :

• Certifications in GCP

· Familiarity with Azure DevOps Pipelines is a plus.

· Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments.

· Experience with Elastic (or OpenSearch) and Grafana

· Knowledge of ServiceNOWfor change management and incident management.

· Familiarity with observability tools and practices for 24x7x365 monitoring and alerting.

· Identity and Access Management experience is a plus for this role
