Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned DevOps Lead in the UK to drive complex software projects using AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, and robust CI/CD practices. You will mentor engineers, shape infrastructure, and align technology with business goals across teams.

Applicants should have strong Python scripting, Terraform or CloudFormation experience, and a proven ability to deliver reliable, scalable systems in dynamic environments. Redhill-based hybrid work is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Strong programming/development experience.
• Considerable experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in AWS cloud technologies (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, SNS, SQS).
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Amazon EKS.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to commute to the Redhill office three days per week.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Monitor system performance and reliability, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements and implement best practices.
• Stay current with cloud computing and DevOps trends, technologies, and practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
