Job summary

Sphera in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support multiple SaaS environments. You will work with Azure core services, evolve from IaaS to PaaS, and contribute to automation, reliability and cost efficiency across platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication across disciplines.
• Solid foundation in IT or Software Engineering.
• Experience creating CI/CD pipelines and automating SaaS solutions in Azure.
• Strong automation skills with scripting languages and Terraform/ARM.
• Ability to build and optimize cloud-based networks (VNets, App Gateways).
• Familiarity with integrating third-party tools like SonarCloud.
• Ability to build environments from Windows and Linux, SQL, Redis, WebApps.
• Experience with containerization.

Responsibilities

• Support application infrastructure to ensure platform is optimized for performance and reliability.
• Build and maintain supporting infrastructure for cloud environments and applications.
• Use wide range of Azure resources to implement scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient services.
• Collaborate with engineers, guiding critical projects with subject matter expertise.
• Perform and automate system administration services including installation, configuration, maintenance, and disaster recovery.
• Identify system level issues related to OS configuration and virtual hardware bottlenecks.
• Automate, audit and other tooling for security, compliance, and resource usage; monitor and improve deployment processes.
• Take ownership of operational excellence to establish business-focused KPIs and track team success.
