Job summary

SoCode Limited in Cambridge is seeking a Senior Cloud Developer to join their R&D team. You’ll design and build scalable cloud services in Azure, work with Kubernetes and C#/.NET, and contribute to microservices and REST APIs in a modern Azure environment.

This hybrid role requires a proactive engineer with strong ownership, collaboration, and mentoring skills, ready to help production systems run smoothly and participate in CI/CD and infrastructure automation.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience developing cloud-based applications.
• Strong knowledge of Azure – compute, storage, security, monitoring and diagnostics.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, ideally AKS.
• Strong C# / .NET development experience.
• Experience building microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience working within a CI/CD environment.
• A proactive approach with strong ownership and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing scalable cloud services in Azure
• Building and supporting microservices and REST APIs using C#
• Working with Kubernetes / AKS and containerised applications
• Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
• Working closely with other technical teams across the wider platform
• Helping identify and resolve technical issues across production environments
• Taking ownership of what you build and how it operates in production
• Supporting and mentoring less experienced engineers
